Voice dictation for email
To dictate an email, click into the message body in Gmail, Outlook or any mail app, press F5 (Ctrl+Shift+Space on Windows), say what you want to say, and press it again. With the Email style, F5Type turns your spoken ramble into a ready-to-send email — greeting, body and sign-off — with the filler words gone.

- 2Press your F5Type shortcut and talk as if you were explaining it to a colleague.
- 3Press the shortcut again. The finished email appears at your cursor (on a Mac, press ⌘V to paste).
- 4Read it once, fix anything specific, send.
Why is it faster than typing an email?
Most of the time in an email goes into wording, not into the idea. Speaking lets you get the idea out in one go; the Email style handles the shape. Names of people and products stay correct because F5Type uses your dictionary, and snippets expand phrases you repeat, like your calendar link or a standard reply.
Does it replace what I already wrote?
No. F5Type inserts at the cursor and never selects or deletes existing text, so you can dictate a paragraph into the middle of a draft safely.
