Voice dictation for writers and long-form work
For long-form writing, open your document in Google Docs, Notion, Word or any editor, press F5, and talk through the section you are writing. F5Type removes the ums, fixes punctuation and gives you clean paragraphs at your cursor. A single dictation can run up to 15 minutes on a computer, and the audio is saved on your device first, so a long take is never lost.

How do writers use dictation?
- First drafts: speak the section as you would explain it, then edit on the page.
- Unblocking: when the cursor is stuck, talking is often easier than typing.
- Notes and outlines: use Summary or Action Items to turn a ramble into structure.
- Away from the desk: dictate ideas on your phone; they sync to your computer.
Will it keep my voice?
The Clean style removes filler words and fixes punctuation but keeps your wording. If you want a specific tone every time, save your own instruction as a Custom style.
